 Ambitions For 2016

The primary source of my income is expected to be from trading.  This will be my first year trading full time.  The plan is to sell a portion of my longer term stocks to invest in the trading business.

Grow My Dividend Income By 45%

Ive been growing my dividend income by an average of approximately 98% over the last 3 years.  This year will be a challenge because I will be selling a few of the positions to invest into trading.  I want to achieve at least 45% rate of growth in dividends for 2016.

Blog Again!

I enjoy blogging as an out let to maintain creativity.  As such, one of my ambitions for 2016 is to start blogging again. I have been looking for a reason to start blogging again ever since we shut down dapper lifestyle, which was a blog I was previously a part of.  It also helps to organize my thoughts and to categorize stuff I like.  Overall, I have a few long term goals for this blog.  Since Ive always been inspired by blogs like dividendgrowthinvestor and dividend mantra, I like the idea of documenting the process.  I think it’s interesting when make a topic personal and show people what can be possible.  The second goal is to focus on content.  The plan is to keep trying to improve all of the photography and posts to be more helpful, and interesting.  Lastly, I want to montenize it using Google Adsense. The goal is to hopefully generate $500 within having ads up during the course of the year.  Why not?

Travel To Vancouver

Vancouver is a place I’m considering moving to in a 1-2 year timeframe.  Obviously I need to see the city first so I am planning on visiting this spring.

Travel To Jamaica 

I have to go somewhere warm with an ocean at least once per year ever since visiting Costa Rica.  It’s really that simple.

Visit Montreal

I want to visit Montreal & Quebec City to drink, sightsee, and stuff my face.  I don’t live too far away and the trip wouldn’t be overly costly.

Visit Niagara on the Lake For A Wine Tour

I had a chance to go on a wine tour last year and it was quite enjoyable.  What’s not to like about being escorted around to different wineries and getting drunk?

Save At Least 10% From My Income Streams

10 % of any revenue will be saved and reinvested.  The goal here is to consistently grow both the dividend and trading businesses.  Of the 10%, 90% will be allocated for dividends, and 10% back into the trading business.

Find More Ways To Save Money While Still Maintaining A High Quality Lifestyle

Along with grocery savings and doing things like selling my car I will focus on keeping my expenses at a minimum.  The savings can be used towards travel, wine, and good food.

Focus On Good Health

Now that I have more time on my hands, I can focus on eating healthier and fresh ingredients.  Additionally, I have more time and energy for the gym.
