I’ve been looking forward to writing a statistics report ever since the goals were changed to more action based targets in June. The reason for the added anticipation is that I’ve always been somewhat of a statistics junky.
It’s like my second language. I require it to make sense, for proof and to document progress.
I like stats for tracking expenses, for capturing the progress of my dividend portfolio, and to argue greatness when defending against all those Lebron haters out there. The numbers don’t lie folks.
In ancient times they had no statistics so they had to fall back on lies. – Stephen Leacock
So it is with great delight that I offer you this report. It’s also something that I would be interested to read from other bloggers.
With that said, for the first report I’ve decided to include statistics that are focused on social media, blog numbers, demographics, any online income generated, and email subscriptions. Let’s get started.

Bounce Rate: 37.48% (Improved 0.42%)
Alexa Rank: 16,146,196 (Down 5,831,582)
Aside from the Alexa rank, blog statistics are up across the board. And on another high note, Reverse the Crush cracked 20,000 all time page views. I’m very curious to see how this ranks compared to other bloggers in the same realm. It’s nothing to run home about, but progress is progress.
The Alexa rank seems to be a bit nonsensical because it was steadily moving in a positive direction until, bam, one day it jumped about 6 million. Anyone have an idea why that would be?
I’m not going to set any specific goals for July when it comes to views, however, I’m looking forward to the month when I can start consistently achieving 5000 page views. In the long run though (years), I hope to reach 50,000 page views monthly on a regular basis.
Email Subscriptions
Total: 12 subscribers (Up 1)
I still haven’t added one of those popup email notifications because I think they’re annoying. No offence to anyone out there utilizing them because they obviously work. I did manage to add an email subscription box below each post and that’s where the new subscriber happened to come from. I’m beginning to wonder if I should pursue more aggressive tactics here, however, I don’t want to sacrifice my values. The appearance of the blog as well as the experience matters to me. Anyhow, thank you for reading and please subscribe below to get notified of new posts.
Question: How does this compare to your blog statistics? Any insight on how to improve going forward?
