How to make extra money: 7 realistic ways to start making extra money within one month. Attainable ideas to make money soon.
Making extra money is simple.
The problem is that most people look for easy side hustles because they don’t want to put in the work.
For example, people will try to make extra money through unrealistic methods, such as wasting time on online surveys.
Unfortunately, though, chasing unrealistic options does not lead to extraordinary wealth.
In fact, it might even make you more broke because it wastes time.
But if you choose realistic ways to make money and if you’re willing to put in the work, there are plenty of opportunities available.
In this post, I will look at seven realistic ways to make extra money soon.
Let’s dive right in.
How to Make Extra Money
1. Get a Local Part-time Job
One of the best ways to make extra money is to get a job.
If you obtain a new job, you will start getting paid within one month. It will probably take three weeks at most to get paid.
If you already have a job, get a second part-time job on the side.
It doesn’t matter what kind of job either, focus on practicality and on earning extra income.
If you find a local job, you can avoid commuting to work, which saves time and money.
2. Sell Used Stuff on Kijiji
A surprisingly quick and easy way to make extra money is to sell your own stuff online.
It’s also a great way to organize your home and get rid of things you don’t need.
The perfect example is a mini-fridge I recently sold on Kijiji for $50.
To be honest, I nearly put it outside with a “for free” sign on it.
Fortunately, though, I decided to post it on Kijiii instead. Because it turns out it added a quick $50 to my pocket.
3. Rent Out Space in Your Home
If you have unused space in your home, you could consider renting it out (if it’s legally zoned).
Within a month of posting an ad on Kijiji, you might find yourself with a payment for first and last month’s rent.
If you don’t mind sharing your home with others, it’s a great way to help someone less fortunate than yourself.
And if you have a mortgage, it’s an excellent way to get someone else to pay your mortgage for you.
4. Go to an Employment Agency
Prior to going to school, I had a hard time getting a job because I didn’t have much work experience.
So, I decided to visit an employment agency.
Within a short period of time, I had a temporary contract to work for an industrial factory.
Although it wasn’t the most pleasant line of work, it paid much higher than minimum wage. Plus, they got me a job quickly.
There’s no shame in obtaining a job at an employment agency.
It’s a much better option than not getting paid and being broke.
5. Check Craigslist and Local Ads/Newspapers for Work
When you are desperate for money, you have to be willing to accept whatever you can get.
If you are struggling to find work and you need to pay the bills, another option to consider is checking Craigslist and local newspapers for work.
Personally, I do not have any experience earning income from Craigslist or local ads.
But if I desperately needed income, I would be keeping my eye open for short-term jobs to make some extra cash.
6. Drive for Uber or Lyft
If you own a car in 2020, you could easily have your own small business.
I mean, companies like Uber and Lyft make it easy to obtain a legitimate part-time or full-time job. The best part is that it’s flexible work.
Furthermore, if you don’t care what your car looks like, you could consider advertising on with Wrapify. They will literally pay you monthly income to advertise on your vehicle.
Frankly, it’s possible to make enough with Uber and Wrapify to cover a new car payment.
Anyways, after you have applied and have been approved, Uber pays weekly.
7. Work Overtime
Of course, you must have a job first to have an opportunity to work overtime.
But that doesn’t mean it’s not a great way to make extra money.
Especially now, if you are offered overtime to work from home, take it! It’s the easiest money you will ever make sitting at home.
Furthermore, overtime is actually the quickest way to increase your salary.
Everyone is always talking about making more money, but few want to put in the work.
Work overtime and save the entire amount as if it didn’t exist.
How to Make Extra Money – Concluding Thoughts
If you’re in a tight spot and need to learn how to make extra money quick, it’s best to look for realistic ways to bring in income.
The way you make money does not have to be glamorous, it just has to pay the bills and add money to your retirement accounts.
There isn’t time to take courses or time to put into a new career if you’re short on cash. You can’t afford the risk of starting a business. Nor do you have the time to waste on surveys only to get paid nothing. You can’t afford to lose what little money you have trying to trade cryptocurrency.
Therefore, to make extra money, begin by looking for realistic ways that are already around you.
If you don’t have any opportunities around you, consider the following:
- Get a local part-time job.
- Sell used stuff on Kijiji.
- Rent out space in your home.
- Go to an employment agency.
- Check Craigslist and local newspaper ads.
- Drive for Uber or Lyft.
- Work overtime.
In conclusion, more flexible work arrangements are available than ever before. You could pursue Barista Fire or look for high paying part-time jobs. The options are endless.
But in the end, it still comes down to hard work. I promise you will figure out how to make extra money if you’re willing to put in the work.
